NMAT: About Exam

The NMAT 2024 exam is in progress, and the exam window will be open until December 20, 2024. You can download your admit card 7 days before the examination through the official website at mba.com/nmat. If you are not satisfied with your first attempt, you can schedule the next attempts till December 17. You can take the NMAT 2024 thrice within the active test window that includes one attempt and two re-attempts. To reschedule your exam, you have to pay a fee of INR 1200. The NMAT scorecard will be available to download within 48 hours of taking the exam.

Conducted by GMAC, NMAT 2024 is a national-level MBA entrance exam. Based on your NMAT score, you can take admission to top b- in India and abroad. NMAT 2024 Admit Card

Your NMAT 2024 admit card contains your registration details, photograph, exam date, and venue. You can download your admit card 7 days prior to your scheduled exam date.

You must download a fresh copy of the admit card for each attempt at the exam from the official website. Download the NMAT 2024 admit card by following these steps below:

NMAT 2024 Answer Key

It is expected that the answer key will be released in January 2025. Once the exam is concluded, various coaching institutes also prepare unofficial answer keys.

NMAT 2024 Result

NMAT 2024 result will be released in the form of a scorecard, within 48 hours of taking the exam. You can also check your scorecard just after submitting the exam. Once your NMAT scorecard is ready to download, you will receive an email from the exam authority.

 NMAT 2024 Selection Process

The selection process involves various stages, starting from online registration to MBA admission:

NMAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

  • Step 2: Click on “Register for NMAT by GMAC.”.


 

  • Step 3: Provide the required details and click on “Create Account.”.
  • Step 4: Enter your contact number, select the country where you want to take the exam, and then click on "Submit.”.
  • Step 5: You will receive a verification email at your provided email address. Upon registration, you will be redirected to your dashboard.
  • Step 6: Then, select the “Register Now” option.
  • Step 7: Enter all the required details, upload the documents, and pay the application fee of INR 3000 with applicable taxes.
  • Step 8: After that, you have to book the exam slot for the exam.

NMAT 2024 Preparation Tips

These are some preparation tips that will help you to excel in your NMAT 2024:

  • Try to attempt at least 1 mock test every week in the last month of preparation. After the test, thoroughly analyze your performance.
  • Time management is very important if you are preparing for the NMAT. Allocate specific time slots for every section and try to ensure both accuracy and speed while solving the questions.

NMAT practice exam 1 is free to access, but for practice exams 2 & 3, you must pay the fees of INR 999 with applicable taxes.

FAQ - NMAT

Ans: The NMAT exam is administered by the Graduate Management Global Connection Private Limited, a subsidiary of GMAC. This exam is now available in two modes- Exam at the Test Center and Online Proctored Exam at Home. 

Ans: NMAT will be conducted in online mode, featuring multiple choice questions. There is no negative marking in NMAT exam, and no marks will be deducted for un-attempted questions.  

Ans: No, there is no upper age limit, and work experience is required to appear in the NMAT 2024 exam. However, candidates with three two-to-three years of work experience will get the preferences during the final selection procedure. 

Ans: Both of these exams consist of MCQs. But in CAT, you also have to answer some TITA questions. There is no negative marking for NMAT, but CAT has a negative marking for the MCQ part only. 

Ans: The NMAT difficulty level is easy to moderate. The question paper consists of a total of 108 questions, which you have to answer in 120 minutes. However, the difficulty level completely depends on how the candidates are prepared for the exam. 

Ans: You will have the option to take the NMAT exam a maximum of three times during the testing window. This option enables the assessment of your best performance.

Ans: The questions of the NMAT exam are selected from the question pool for every candidate. The questions are selected based on the candidate’s preference for the previously answered questions. The questions are targeted at his or her ability level. Hence, a high-scoring candidate will receive a more difficult set of questions compared to a low-scoring candidate.

Ans: Every year you can appear for the NMAT exam three times within the test window. However, you must ensure that there is a gap of 15 days between two consecutive attempts.

Ans: There are mainly two modes of NMAT exam available: 

  • Exam at the Test Center: You must report to the allocated test center forty-five minutes before the scheduled time mentioned in your admit card. 
  • Online Proctored Email at Home: You have to log in to your account 30 minutes before the exam time. The “Start Exam” option will appear on the screen. By clicking on that button, you will be redirected to the exam site.

Ans: You have the option to choose the order of sections in the NMAT exam. Every section has an allocated time limit. You cannot return to the previous questions after answering them.
