Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College formerly known as Bangabasi College of Commerce. This college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta, West Bengal. AGCBC offers Five Bachelor's degree programs in the fields of Commerce and Arts. The basic eligibility criteria to apply for the UG program is 10 + 2 from a recognized board. 

Admission to these courses is done strictly on a merit basis. A relaxation of 5% marks is provided to the students belonging to Reserved categories.

Acharya Girish Chandra Bose College offers various facilities for the students and staffs that including the Sports, Medical Facilities, Canteen, Gym, and Library. The college also provides various Indoor and Outdoor games such as music competitions, Debate competitions etc. 

They have various important cells for the students such as anti-ragging cells, grievance redressal cells etc. AGCBC also started the National Service Scheme under the University of Calcutta where different social activities are organized, such as surveying slums, sanitation drives etc.
