Important Tips for XAT 2026 Candidates

XAT registration 2026 has started on July 10, 2025. The last date of registration is December 5, 2025. XAT application correction window will open on October 14, 2025, at 9 a.m. and close on October 16, 2025, 9 am. XAT exam 2026 will be held on January 4, 2026.

For XAT registration 2026, candidates must have completed their graduation. If you meet the eligibility criteria for the XAT exam, you can apply online by completing the registration process, filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and paying application fee of INR 2200. Those who successfully register for XAT exam will be able to download their XAT 2026 admit card in December 20, 2025 (tentative).

XAT 2026 Registration Process

XAT 2026 registration process will commence soon on the official website. Follow these steps to complete your application:

Step 1: Visit the official XAT website at xatonline.in and click on the "Register" option.
Step 2: Complete the registration form with the necessary details.
Step 3: Verify your email address.
Step 4: Fill out the XAT online application form.
Step 5: Upload all the required documents.
Step 6: Make the payment for the XAT exam fee.
Step 7: Submit your application form.

XAT 2026 Registration Fees

XAT registration fees vary based on the category of the candidate. Below are the details of the fee structure:

XAT Registration 2026: Fees Payment Modes

You can pay the XAT registration fee using a variety of secure methods, including debit cards (RuPay, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro), credit cards, internet banking, IMPS, as well as cash cards and mobile wallets. Once you've entered your payment details, wait patiently for confirmation from the server. Avoid clicking the back or refresh buttons to prevent duplicate transactions.

Once your payment is successfully processed, an electronic receipt will be generated. If the e-Receipt does not appear, it means the transaction was unsuccessful. In such cases, log in again using your registered email ID and password, and retry the payment process.

XAT 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring to appear for XAT 2026 must fulfil specific academic requirements. Below are the detailed eligibility criteria for the exam:

A bachelor's degree of at least three years duration or a UGC-recognized equivalent from a recognized university is mandatory.
There is no minimum score requirement for MBA applicants. However, general category candidates must have a minimum of 50%, while reserved category candidates need at least 45%.
Final-year graduation students are also eligible to apply.

XAT Registration 2026: Document Specification

You must upload their photograph and signature in the XAT application form. The Photo/Signature should be within 20KB to 50KB (JPG/JPEG) and avoid blurry images. For complete guidelines, check the table below:

Photograph	The photograph should be recent, passport-sized, in colour, and taken against a light background, preferably white. If you wear glasses, ensure there is no glare and that your eyes are clearly visible. Religious headwear is permitted as long as they don't hide the face. Items like caps, hats, and tinted glasses are not allowed. The recommended dimensions for the photograph are 200 x 230 pixels. The file size must range between 20 KB to 50 KB. Accepted image formats include JPG, JPEG, and PNG.
Signature	Your signature will appear on the XAT admit card and may be used in other official documents, so ensure it is clear and correctly done. Sign your name on plain white paper using a black ink pen. The ideal dimensions for the scanned signature file are 140 x 60 pixels. The signature file must be between 10 KB to 20 KB in size. Accepted image formats include JPG, JPEG, and PNG.

XAT Application Correction Window

Candidates already registered for XAT 2026 exam will get XAT application correction window for 2 days, from October 14 to October 16, 2025, in case they have mistakenly entered wrong information.

Photograph and Signature: If a candidate has uploaded an unclear, incorrect, or invalid photograph or signature, the correction window allows them to replace these files with proper ones. This prevents form rejection and ensures smooth verification at the exam centre.
