NMAT is the national-level entrance exam conducted by GMAC for admission into premier MBA/PGDM programs at top business schools including NMIMS, XIM University, TAPMI, and K J Somaiya. To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks, though final-year undergraduate students may also apply provisionally.

To register for NMAT 2027, create an account, enter your personal and academic credentials, choose 5 B-school preferences, upload a recent photo & signature (in JPG, JPEG or PNG file format), and pay the registration fee to unlock slot scheduling. The exam evaluates candidates across three sections: Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, and Logical Reasoning, consisting of 108 questions to be completed within 120 minutes (2 hours). Each correct response is awarded three marks, with zero penalty applied for incorrect or unattempted questions. You may appear for up to three attempts within a single testing cycle. Although specific institutions, such as NMIMS for its flagship MBA program, accept scores exclusively from an applicant's 1st attempt.

- Step 1: Visit mba.com/nmat, click 'Create your NMAT Account', and enter your details using a valid email address.
- Step 2: Open the verification email sent to your inbox (or spam folder) and follow the link to activate your profile.
- Step 3: Log into the Candidate Dashboard and fill out the application form. Ensure your name and date of birth match your photo ID exactly.
- Step 4: Choose up to 5 school preferences included in your registration fee (additional choices cost INR 400 + taxes each).
- Step 5: Upload a clear, recent photograph (taken within the last 6 months) matching your ID, then pay the exam fee to unlock slot scheduling.
How to Schedule Your NMAT 2027 Exam Slot?
Once you have successfully submitted your NMAT application and completed the registration payment, you can select your preferred test center, exam date, and time slot by this process:
- Log into your Candidate Dashboard post-payment and select 'Book Exam Slot'.
- Choose 'At Test Centre' as your preferred testing mode and click Submit.
- Click PROCEED on the scheduling tool and accept the examination policies.
- Filter by Country, City, and Test Centre to select your ideal date and time slot.
- Access and print your official hall ticket from the Candidate Dashboard 7 days prior to your test date.

NMAT 2027 Retake & Exam Scheduling
GMAC provides up to three opportunities comprising one initial attempt and two retakes during a single testing window to improve the scores. To ensure fairness, candidates must observe a compulsory 7-day waiting period between the release of their scorecard and their next test date. Once your previous attempt's results are published, you can register and select a date for your retake directly through the Candidate Dashboard.
