After successful registration for NMAT, the next step is scheduling your exam slot, which involves selecting your preferred test date, time and center (or choosing the online proctored-at-home option) within the specified scheduling window. Once the slot is booked and payment is processed, you can download your admit card from the candidate dashboard. The admit card is a mandatory document to take the NMAT 2025 exam.

Following the test, you'll receive an unofficial score immediately and the official scorecard within a few days. The process also includes the option to reschedule a booked attempt for a fee (until 72 hours before the test) and the ability to retake the exam up to two additional times within the testing window after a minimum gap (15 days), requiring a new retake registration and fee each time.

Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) forwards the highest overall score achieved across all your valid attempts to the accepting business schools. This ensures that only your best performance is considered during the admissions process and allows you to improve your score through a retake. However, one of the primary accepting institutions, NMIMS accepts only the first NMAT attempt.
