BITS Pilani is the top private Deemed University located in Pilani, Rajasthan. The college is ranked 3rd in NIRF 2024 Engineering ranking in Private colleges. The institution offers more than 50 UG and PG programs which are further categorized in Integrated First Degree, Higher Degree, MBA, and PhD courses. Along with the national level entrance examinations, you can also appear for various entrance examinations conducted by the University like BITSAT, BAAT, and BITS HD online test for BITS Pilani Admission 2025.

BITS Pilani Placement 2024 has recorded the highest package of INR 60.75 LPA. As a BIITS Pilani student, you can also avail various scholarships based on merit and need.   • Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani or BITS Pilani offers UG and PG courses divided into Integrated First Degree and Higher Degree Program.
  • Integrated First Degree Programs has courses like BE, BPharm, and MSc for which you need to apply for BITSAT examination. However, for the Higher Degree Programs, BITS Pilani offers ME, MPharm, and MBA. You need to appear for BAAT exam for the MBA course. For all other courses, the University accepts BITS HD examination.

BITS Pilani Courses and Fees

BITS Pilani offers Integrated First Degree Programs in BE, BPharm, and MSc courses. Furthermore, BE has 9 specializations and MSc has 6 specializations. You can complete any Integrated First Degree Program within 4 years, i.e. 8 semesters. However, under Dual Degree Scheme, you can take admission in two degrees simultaneously and will need 5 to 5½ years i.e.,10 to 11 semesters as a course duration.

Similarly, BITS Pilani offers Higher Degree Programs in ME, MPharm, and MBA courses. Furthermore, Me has 15 specializations, MPharm has 3 specializations, and for MBA you can opt for Business Analytics specializations.

  • Duration of BE, BPharm, and MSc is 4 years whereas MSc General Studies is 2 years.

  • Eligibility for BE: 10+2 with 75% BPharm: 10+2 with 75% MSc: Graduation with 60%

  • Also, meritorious and top-ranking female students in BITSAT who are from low-income families can secure a 100% tuition fee scholarship.

ME, MPharm, MBA

  • Duration of ME, MPharm, and MBA is 2 years.
  • 1st Year Fees: INR 4.9 Lakhs (Excluding INR 3K refundable caution deposit)
  • Eligibility Criteria: Graduation with 60%
  • Selection Criteria: BITS HD exam, GPAT (MPharm), GATE (ME)
  • You need to appear for BITS HD exam by applying through http://www.bitsadmission.com. You need to pay the application fee of INR 1000 for GATE/GPAT exam and INR 3400 for BITS HD exam.
  • NOTE: If your preference is M.E. Software Systems then you need to appear for BITS HD test, and GATE/GPAT score has no relevance for your admission. However, you will also get a stipend of INR 13,400 over the GATE/GPAT scholarships.
  • Scholarships: Higher degrees and PhD students will get scholarships /Fellowships from various sources like UGC, CSIR, DST, DBT, ICMR, etc.
  • If you are GATE qualified, then you can apply to the UGC for the GATE scholarship.
  • If you are admitted through the BITS HD Test, then you will be eligible for a stipend of INR 13,400/- per month (during the semester).

PhD

  • Duration: 5 Years
  • 1st Year Fees: INR 1.37 Lakhs
  • Eligibility: You need to have Post graduation with 60% for admission to the ME, MPharm, MPhil, MSc, etc. Courses. However, for humanities courses, Post graduation with 55% is required. Part time you need to have a year of work experience to be eligible for the PhD course.
  • Selection Criteria: Admission to the PhD full-time and part-time course is based on BITSAT and other national level entrance examinations like UGC-NET, JRF etc. The final selection is made based on the Personal Interview round. Interested candidates need to fill out the Application Form to take admission into the PhD course in BITS Pilani.
  • Scholarships: You can get an Institute Fellowship of INR 34K or INR 37K per month in the first year of the Full-time PhD program. However, you will get an Institute Fellowship of INR 37K if you take admission with ME/MTech/M.Pharm/MBA/MPhil or an equivalent Degree.

BITS Pilani Admission 2025

BITS Pilani admission 2025 to the First Degree program is based on BITSAT examination. The admission is based on merit on BITSAT examination. For admission to the higher degree program, you need to appear for BITS HD online test. The topper of the board examination will get direct admission to BITS Pilani. BITSAT Examinations 2025

BITSAT is a Computer Based Online Test for admission to the Integrated First Degree Program. BITSAT is a 3 hour examination that is organized in two sets of dates: BITSAT Session-1 and BITSAT Session-2. Both the sessions are separated by a gap of a few weeks.

BITS HD Examinations 2025

BITS Higher Degree Examinations is for admission to the ME, MPharm, and MBA courses. Admission to all the ME and MPharm courses and its specializations are done through BITS HD test marks or the marks obtained in GATE and GPAT exam respectively. However, for admission to the ME in Software Systems program, only BITS HD marks will be considered.

BITS Pilani do not have any management quota as the admission is strictly based on entrance exams conducted by the University.   • Classrooms: BITS Pilani campus is spread across 328 acres and is divided into several academic blocks. Classrooms are located in a beautiful landscape and are centrally air conditioned. The rooms are also equipped with projectors, computers, blackboards, screens, and speakers. The management classes are held in the New Academic Block (NAB).
  • Library: BITS Pilani has an impressive library that accommodates 8000 students. Along with this, it provides 738 open access study spaces and 246 IT workstations. The library has its own Library Catalogue where you can avail over 20,000 electronic resources, including journals, databases, journals and eBooks. Moreover, the library also has around 3,000 current journal titles and collection of CD and DVDs (media).
  • Sports Complex: BITS Pilani has 25 x 12.5 m swimming pool for water polo sports and multiple playgrounds for football, basketball, cricket, volleyball, etc. It has Student Activity Centre (SAC) for various sports and fitness activities like tennis, badminton, squash, boxing, etc. You have facilities like Gym for keeping your health fit by doing cardio, weight training, and different aerobics. You can become a member of the health and swimming club by paying a nominal fee.
  • Recreational Activities: As a student of BITS Pilani, you can get a plethora of programs for recreational purposes. The University has a Recreational Activity Forum (RAF) that regularly organizes films for the students of BITS community.
