Who Is Eligible for VITEEE 2026?
Indian, NRI and foreign students can apply for the VITEEE 2026. Here are the detailed eligibility criteria to register for the exam:
Nationality: Candidates must be a resident / non-resident Indian national / OCI / PIO Holder to apply for VITEEE 2026. There are separate application forms for the NRI and other foreign applicants, which will be available on the official website shortly.
Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after July 1, 2003. There is no upper age limit for VITEEE 2026.
Qualifying Examinations: Applicants must either completed or shall be appearing in 2026 in any of the following examinations:
- Candidates must pass their 10+2 with at least 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology (50% for SC, ST category and applicants from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and north-eastern states) from any recognized state or central board or equivalent exam accepted by VIT. English is mandatory in the 10+2 curriculum.
- Applicants who have completed the Class 12th or equivalent examination outside India must produce an equivalence certificate to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination with grade/CGPA converted to percentage.
- Candidates who appeared for the Intermediate or two-year pre-university examination conducted by a recognized board or university are eligible.
- Candidates who hold a General Certificate Examination (London / Cambridge / Sri Lanka) at the advanced level.
- Candidates having a High School Certificate Examination from Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma from the International Baccalaureate Office (Geneva) are eligible.
- Candidates who appeared for the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of 5 subjects as recognized by the central board are eligible.
- In case VITEEE 2026 gets cancelled due to natural calamities or causes beyond the control of the institute, qualifying criteria may be substituted with higher secondary marks. Applicants shall be informed accordingly.
