VIT Chennai was established in the year 1984 and accredited by NAAC with grade A++. The university is approved by AICTE and has an NIRF ranking of 10 in the university category in the year 2024. VIT Chennai offers various courses like BTech, BSc, MCA, MTech, MBA etc. Along with these courses, VIT Chennai has some PhD courses. The entrance exams offered by the university are VITEEE, VITMEE and VITREE. However, BALLB and BBA LLB have a duration of 5 years. 1st year Fees for BTech: INR 1.76 lakhs to INR 1.98 lakhs BSc: INR 77k to 1.72 lakhs BBA: INR 2.75 lakhs BCom: INR 1.42 lakhs BALLB and BBALLB: INR 1.92 lakhs Eligibility for BTech, BBA and BCom is 60% marks, and BSc is 70% marks in in 10+2 grades. However, the eligibility criteria BALLB and BBALLB is 45% in 12th grade. Selection Criteria for BTech is VITEEE and for BALLB and BBALLB CLAT and LSAT is accepted Scholarship: VIT Chennai provides scholarships to the students up to 25% to 100% of the tuition fee according to the rank score in VITEEE under VITEEE- GDVSP program. |

VIT Chennai Admission 2025 is based on the online/offline mode. The entrance exams offered by the VIT Chennai for the admission is VITEEE, VITMEE and VITREE. VITEEE exam is an entrance exam for BTech courses at VIT Chennai. The exam is a Computer Based Test. The question pattern is objective based and divided into 5 sections. VITEEE has a duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. You will be awarded 1 mark for each right question and there is no negative marking for any wrong answer. The application fee for VITEEE is INR 1350.
VITMEE is an entrance exam for MTech and MCA. The exam is a Computer Based objective test. The syllabus of the VITMEE exam depends on the program and its specializations you are appearing in. One needs to pay an advance fee of INR 1 lakh after releasing the cut off marks to book a seat for the courses. The application fee for the VITMEE application is INR 1200.
VITREE exam is an entrance exam for PhD. The exam has a duration of 2 hours. The question paper is divided into 2 or 3 Sections depending on the category of PhD you are taking admission. VITMEE Paper comprises of 100 questions in total. The medium of VITREE is English and the question paper pattern is MCQ based. The section-wise details are provided below.
