The Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) announced revised fees for the board examinations of both Class 10 and 12 with the new structure set to be implemented from today, October 10, 2025.

The TBSE chief Dhananjoy Ganchowdhury, while addressing reporters in Agartala, highlighted that the new fee structure remains considerably lower than other boards and states. The examination fees for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 were INR 1,500 and INR 2,100, respectively.
Furthermore, he stated, "Among the northeastern states, the fee structure of the Tripura board is very less," mentioning that the board examination fee in Mizoram is INR 550, and the corresponding fee for Meghalaya and Assam is INR 900.

When asked about the prospective dates for next year's board examinations, Mr. Ganchowhury has given a probable timeline, saying, "Though we cannot tell the exact dates, we are trying to hold Class 10 and 12 board examinations in the last week of February 2026."

New Rules for JEE Main 2026 Exam Centre Selection
Candidates can select up to four exam cities based on preference.
New rule: Cities must be from your Permanent or Present Address state.
NTA will allot the nearest available centres based on Permanent Address.
