Several key updates have been rolled out to the CBSE Class 12 curriculum. The board introduced four new skill-based subjects: Land Transportation Associate, Electronics & Hardware, Physical Activity Trainer, and Design Thinking & Innovation. Additionally, CBSE implemented a 9-point grading system for Class 12, aligning it with the Class 10 framework to evaluate student performance across both marks and grades.
Under the revised subject rules, students must choose English or Hindi (Core or Elective) as a compulsory language and pick one specialized technical subject from Informatics Practices, Computer Science, or Information Technology. Beyond their core academic and elective requirements, students can take an extra optional subject or language from any available group, alongside mandatory internal assessments covering Health and Physical Education, Work Experience, and General Studies.
