IIT Delhi  will conduct the JAM exam to offer admission to the MSc in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Economics, Biotechnology and Integrated PhD programs at various IITs and NITs. Based on your performance in the IIT JAM 2025 exam, admission will be offered at prestigious universities, such as IITs, NITs, and IISc. 

You must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% marks to apply for the JAM 2025.  If you are appearing or will appear in graduation final year exam in 2025, you can still apply for the JAM 2025. There are no age limit criteria to appear for the exam.

JAM 2025 Admit Card

The IIT JAM 2025 admit card / hall ticket was released on January 6, 2025. If you have successfully completed the registration process by paying the application fee will be able to download the admit card. Follow these steps below to download the JAM 2025 admit card:

• Step 1: Visit the official website at joaps.iitd.ac.in.

• Step 2: Provide your Enrollment ID / Email Address and Password. Evaluate the arithmetic expression and enter the answer on the given field.
• Step 3: After that, click on the “Login” option to access the applicant dashboard.
• Step 4: Select the agreement checkbox and provide the virtual signature.
• Step 5: Download the IIT JAM 2025 admit card on your device.

JAM 2025 Exam Pattern

The JAM 2025 examination for all seven subjects will be conducted in computer-based test mode. The questions will appear on your computer screen in a random sequence. For all the subjects, you will get total 3 hours . The medium for all the papers will be only in English language. There will be a total of 60 questions will be asked, which will carry a total of 100 marks. The entire question paper will be divided into three sections, that is Sections A, B, and C. All these sections are compulsory. The questions in these three sections will be of different types as mentioned below:

• Section – A: This section will contain a total of 30 MCQs, which include 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ will have four choices out of which only one choice is the correct answer.
• Section – B: This section contains a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions, carrying two marks for each question.
• Section – C: This section contains a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type questions, which involve 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each.

JAM 2025 Mock Test

IIT Delhi has released the JAM 2025 mock test on the official website. You should take the mock test for better preparation and get accustomed to the exam pattern. To take the JAM 2025 mock test, follow these steps below:

• Visit the IIT JAM 2025 website at jam2025.iitd.ac.in.
• Under the “Examination” section, select the “Mock Test” option.
• Beside any paper name, select “Click here to start the Mock Test”.

• You have to select the “Sign In” option to access the mock test.
• Read the general instructions and select the “Next” option.
• Read the paper-specific instructions and click on “I am ready to begin”.
• It will start the JAM 2025 mock test.

JAM 2025 Answer Key

IIT Delhi is expected to release the IIT JAM answer key in the second week of February 2025. You will be to download the answer key by using your JAM 2025 login credentials. You will be able to submit the challenges within the time issued by the authority by logging into the candidate portal.

JAM 2025 Result

JAM 2025 results will be declared on March 19, 2025 (tentative) on the official website of JAM. For every test paper, an All-India Rank (AIR) will be assigned to all the candidates based on their performance in the exam.

The JAM 2025 scorecard indicating the AIR and the mark achieved by the candidate will be available on the official website at  jam2025.iitd.ac.in. You can start downloading your JAM scorecard starting from March 25, 2025, to July 31, 2025, for qualified candidates.

JAM 2025 Counselling Process

IIT JAM 2025 counselling process will start from April 2, 2025 (tentative). Candidates who qualify for the exam will be eligible to participate in the JAM 2025 admission counselling process. The last date for filling out the counselling form will be informed soon on the official website.

The candidates will be selected based on the merit secured in JAM 2025 exam. The counselling process is conducted as a Centralised Admission Process (CAP) for all the IITs.

JAM 2025 Previous Year’s Question Papers 

IIT Delhi has released the IIT JAM previous year’s question on the official website. You can download the JAM question papers in PDF format for each paper. To download the previous year’s JAM questions, you have to follow these steps:

• Visit the official website at jam2025.iitd.ac.in.
• Under the “Examination” section, click on Previous Year Question Paper.

• From there, you will be able to download the previous year’s question papers for each subject.

JAM 2025 Registration Process
