Check your total marks and All India Ranks released by IIT Bombay visiting the official website, jam2026.iitb.ac.in, and logging in using your enrolment ID or email address along with the password. Successful candidates will become eligible for various postgraduate programs, including MSc, MSc (Tech), and PhD degrees. While IITs manage their own intake, the CCMN will oversee the 2026 counseling process for other prestigious institutions such as IISc, NITs, IISER Bhopal, and various CFTIs.
The 2026 session followed established trends by emphasizing conceptual depth and analytical reasoning over rote learning. While the general difficulty level fluctuated between easy and moderate, specific sections in Mathematics and Physics were notably more tough, demanding precise calculations and superior time management. The presence of negative marking underscored the importance of accuracy, making the evaluation of Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions pivotal for a high score. The students who maintained a strong grip on fundamental principles and avoided excessive guesswork may secure a good score.
