The National Board of Examination conducts the NEET PG every year. This exam is conducted to select the eligible candidates for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. NEET PG 2026 will be held on August 30, 2026, in a single CBT shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM across different test centres in India. NEET PG 2026 registration is now open at its official site. The official notification was released on July 01, 2026 and last date to fill application form is July 21, 2026. The NEET PG question paper consists of a total of 180 MCQs, which you have to answer within 3.5 hours. NEET PG 2026 Registration Process

It is expected that NBE will start the registration for NEET PG 2026 in the month of April 2026. You will be able to register for the exam by following the steps below:

Step 1: Firstly, you have to go the NBE official website at natboard.edu.in.

Step 2: Fill out the registration form to generate the User ID/Application ID and Password.

Step 3: User ID and Password will be sent through Email and SMS

Step 4: Fill out the application form and upload your photograph, signature, thumb impression, and prescribed documents.

Step 5: Select your test city and pay the examination fee. General, OBC, and EWS candidates have to pay INR 3500/- and SC, ST, and PWD candidates have to pay INR 2500/-

Step 6: You must agree with the declaration and submit your NEET PG application.

Step 7: Take a printout of the filled application form with transaction ID and payment status for record.

NEET PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Graduates

Indian citizens or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) can also apply for the NEET PG 2026. They must meet the following eligibility criteria:

NEET PG 2026 Admit Card

NEET PG 2026 admit card will be issued to the candidates who have successfully submitted the application form. You will be able to download your NEET PG admit card from the official NBE website from August 27, 2026. Your admit card will contain the various information like your name, roll number, date & time of exam, exam centre address, exam day guidelines, etc. You will be able to download your NEET PG admit card by following the steps below:

  • Visit the NBE website at natboard.edu.in.
  • Select the NEET PG 2026 and login to your account.
  • From there, you will get your admit card download link.
  • Make sure to check the admit card for any errors or spelling mistakes.

You must download your NEET PG 2026 admit card in time and bring it along with a valid photo ID to the exam centre. Without the admit card, you will not be allowed to enter into the exam centre.

NEET PG 2026 Syllabus

The NEET PG 2026 syllabus comprises topics from the MBBS syllabus. It has three sections, clinical, pre-, and para-clinical. Before you start the preparation, make sure to check the syllabus to understand the expected topics and subjects in the exam. The NBE does not release the NEET PG syllabus on the official website. As per the official NEET PG brochure, the NEET PG syllabus comprises the subject/knowledge areas as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Government of India.

NEET PG 2026 Answer Key

NBE will not release the answer key because of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). However, there are various coaching centres, that will release the NEET PG 2026 answer key in the form of a PDF. The answer key contains the correct question answers asked in the NEET PG. By using the answer key, you will get an estimated idea about the marks.

NEET PG 2026 Result

The NEET PG 2026 result will be published by September 30, 2026 at the official NBE website. You will be allowed to download your scorecard online in PDF format. Your scorecard will display your marks obtained in the exam, percentile score, category-wise qualifying status, etc. You must secure the minimum cutoff to qualify for the NEET PG. The qualifying cut-off of this examination varies as per the category. The cutoff will be 50 percentiles for the general category candidates, whereas the cutoff will be lower for SC/ST/OBC candidates.

NEET PG 2026 Selection Process

Once the NEET PG 2026 result is announced, the NBE will release the merit list. The qualifying candidates will be eligible for the counselling process, where they can choose between MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma seats across various medical institutes throughout India. The NEET PG counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee. It will be a central counselling, and the seat allocation will be done completely basis of candidate’s rank and preferences.

NEET PG 2026 Mock Test

The NBE will release the NEET PG 2026 mock test on their official website. You will be able to attempt the 2026 mock test along with the previous year's mock test for free. You can take the mock test by following the steps below:

  • Visit the official website of NBE at nbe.edu.in.
  • Under the Entrance Examinations, select the NEET-PG option.
  • Under the 2026 section, click on the “Application Link” option.
  • Right beside the Mock/Demo Link option, select “Click Here”.
  • Sign in to the portal and take the NEET PG 2026 mock test.

Ans: The NBE withholds the NEET PG results for those, whose MBBS marks and other documents are not submitted by the given date. These candidates have to send these documents to the exam conducting authority.

Ans: As per the NEET PG eligibility criteria, you must have completed your one-year internship on or before the cutoff date determined by NBE.

Ans: You must carry any one of the following Govt. issued photo IDs (must be original):

  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • Voter ID
  • Passport
  • Aadhaar Card 

Ans: The requests for change of NEET PG testing center/city shall not be entertained on any ground. So, please choose your exam center very carefully.

Ans: The NEET PG 2026 exam scores shall be valid only for current admission sessions for MD/MS/PG Diploma programs. It cannot be carried forward for the next session for admission to any of these programs. 

Ans: The NBE will not send any physical copy of the admit card by post. You have to download your admit card from the NBE official website.

Ans: There is no limit to attempting the NEET PG exam. You are allowed take the NEET PG exam as many times as you want, as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.
