JEE Advanced Response Sheet 2025 Challenge: Can You Raise Objection?

Every year, many JEE Advanced Candidates get confused about one thing if they can challenge their response sheet or not.

The response sheet only shows what you marked in the exam. Since it is automatically recorded during the exam, so you are not allowed to raise objections or ask for change in it.

You can only challenge the JEE Advanced provisional answer key, not the response sheet itself. If you find any answer wrong in the official answer key, you will have option to submit your objection within the time limit specified by IIT Kanpur.

FAQ - JEE Advanced

Ans: To determine the final JEE Advanced score, candidates must appear for both Paper I and Paper II. Here the score is calculated as follows:

  • The subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) are calculated by adding the marks obtained from both the papers.

For example, Physics marks = Physics score in Paper I + Physics score in Paper II.

  • The same method is applied for Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • After adding the scores of a subject, they are added together to determine the total score.

So, the final score is the total marks of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Paper I and Paper II.

After reviewing the challenges, the final answer sheet along with the results will be released on June 2, 2025, on the official website – jeeadv.ac.in.

Ans: No, candidates cannot challenge the final answer key of JEE Advanced 2025. Once the objections raised against the provisional answer key are reviewed and necessary changes are made, the final version is released. This final answer key is considered final and is used for calculating the JEE Advanced result.

However, if you find any discrepancy in the provisional answer key, you can challenge it by following the steps below:

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced - jeeadv.ac.in.
  • Log in using your JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth and mobile number.
  • Click on the link to challenge the provisional answer key.
  • Select the question(s) against which you wish to object.
  • Upload valid evidence or documents in support of your claim.
  • Pay the objection fee (if applicable) and click on the submit button.

Don't forget to submit your challenge within the specified time limit. After this process, no further objections will be accepted for the final answer sheet.

Ans: Once the final answer sheet of JEE Advanced is published, it cannot be challenged or changed. This version has been prepared by experienced subject experts after carefully reviewing all the objections raised on the provisional key. Therefore, the chances of errors are extremely low.
However, in rare cases where a question or its answer is found to be incorrect during the expert review process, the examination authorities may award full marks to all candidates for that particular question - even if they have not attempted it. This decision has been taken fairly so that no student faces any inconvenience.
