MMMUT Released 1st Cutoff of BTech: Computer Science Admissions Close Between Ranks 18091 and 62179

In MMMUT, Information Technology (IT) and Electronics were also highly preferred this year, with IT's cutoff beginning roughly where Computer Science's ended, and Electronics also attracting strong interest from high-ranking students.

 

Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT) in Gorakhpur has announced its 1st cutoff list for admission to its B.Tech program. Out of 4039 applicants for 1189 seats, only 285 candidates secured their first-preference branch, while 659 were allotted a seat within their top three choices. Computer Science proved to be the most sought-after branch, with general category admissions ranging from JEE Main ranks 18091-62179. For the 10% seats reserved for other states, Computer Science also saw the highest demand, with cutoff ranks from 40229-66331.

A total of 1086 seats are reserved for Uttar Pradesh students, and 103 for those from other states. This year, 3700 candidates from Uttar Pradesh and 339 from outside the state applied. MMMUT got 255 seats for Computer Science, 180 in Electronics, and 120 in IT. Document verification for students selected in this first cutoff list is ongoing and must be completed by July 2; documents were submitted online in advance. By 7 PM on Saturday, the first day of verification, 267 students had completed the process.

University Vice Chancellor Prof. JP Saini said that MMMUT continues to be a top choice for high-scoring JEE Main candidates, with the admission process and document verification proceeding smoothly and on schedule.
