MHT CET 2026 Application Fee Likely to Increase: Get Complete Details Here

Last year, MHT CET registrations started on December 30, 2024. This year, the MHT CET 2026 registration process is also expected to begin in the last week of December 2025, through the official CET Cell website, cetcell.mahacet.org.

This year, Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (CET) may soon see an increase in MHT CET application fees. As per recent data, you may pay an additional INR 150 to INR 250, depending on the specific exam. Until last year, you paid between INR 500 and INR 1,000, based on whether the test was held in pen-and-paper mode or conducted as a computer-based exam. Paper-based CETs generally had fees ranging from INR 500 to INR 600, while computer-based tests charged between INR 800 and INR 1,000.

Recent reports indicate that CET Cell has sent a proposal to the higher and technical education department, seeking approval to revise the registration fees. The CET Cell oversees 19 entrance tests that grant admission to 73 different courses. Making any change in fees will affect a large number of applicants.

The proposal to revise MHT CET 2026 application fees structure comes shortly after the CET Cell released MHT CET 2026 exam schedule. For the first time, the entrance test for engineering and pharmacy admissions will be conducted twice a year.

As per MHT CET 2026 notification, session 1 will be held from April 11 to 19, 2026, for PCM group and from April 21 to 26, 2026, for the PCB group. Session 2 will start from May 14 to 17, 2026, for PCM candidates, while PCB candidates will take the exam on May 10 and 11, 2026. These changes mark a major shift in the exam process for the upcoming admission cycle.

UP NEET PG 2025 counselling dates have been officially released on the state’s exam portal, upneet.gov.in. You can begin round 1 registration process from November 06, 2025. To participate in the seat allocation, you must register online and submit your preferred choices of colleges and courses. The deadline for application submission is October 10, 2025. If you have qualified NEET PG 2025 exam and meet the minimum cutoff criteria, you are eligible to take part in Uttar Pradesh NEET PG counselling process.
