IIT Kanpur released results on June 2 for JEE Advanced 2025, showing a significant drop in cutoff marks across all categories compared to last year. These cutoffs are the minimum scores needed for IIT admissions and inclusion in JEE Advanced rank lists.
The Common Rank List (CRL) cutoff for 2025 is now 20.56%, down from 30.34% in 2024. Similar declines are seen for GEN-EWS and OBC-NCL (18.50% from 27.30%), SC, ST, and PwD (10.28% from 15.17%), and Preparatory Course (5.14% from 7.58%). Despite this year's reduction from 2024's peak, the cutoffs remain notably higher than those seen before 2023.
