IIT Kanpur, the conducting authority for JEE Advanced 2025, has revealed insightful data on this year's admissions. As per their analysis, one in every four students admitted to an IIT had prepared in Kota. The report further highlights that 50% of the top 100 rank holders in JEE Advanced 2025 also received coaching from Kota, reaffirming its strong influence as a leading preparation hub for engineering aspirants across the country.

As per the analysis shared by IIT Kanpur and reported by PTI, the IIT Delhi zone recorded the highest percentage of students qualifying JEE Advanced 2025. It also achieved the best admission rate to IITs among all zones this year, reflecting strong academic performance and preparation in the region.

A total of 1,87,113 students from all seven IIT zones registered for JEE Advanced 2025. The Hyderabad zone had the highest registrations with 45,622 students, followed by Bombay zone with 37,002, and Delhi zone with 34,069 students. JEE Advanced 2025 report has revealed a notable drop in the admission cutoff for IITs this year. A general category candidate secured admission with only 92 marks out of a total of 360, marking one of the lowest general cutoffs in recent years. This shift reflects changes in competition levels and seat allocation processes.

The report also highlights the impact of supernumerary seats, especially for female candidates, which were introduced to promote gender diversity in IITs. Under this initiative, a general category female candidate received admission with just 80 marks, further lowering the admission benchmark for eligible female students.

In EWS category, both male and female candidates were offered seats with 78 marks. For male candidates, this equals about 24.67% of the total score, while for female candidates, it stood at 21.67%.

OBC category also saw lower cutoffs. Male candidates were admitted with 74 marks around 20.55%, while female candidates made it through with 66 marks, which is 18.33%.

SC category had cutoffs as low as 46 marks for male candidates (12.78%) and 43 marks for female (11.94%). In ST category, male candidates secured admission with 41 marks (11.39%) and female candidates with just 37 marks (10.28%).
