IIT Guwahati is set to conclude GATE 2026 registration process on September 28, 2025, without a late fee. Eligible candidates who have not yet applied can still complete the online application at official website gate2026.iitg.ac.in. Even after the deadline, applicants will be allowed to submit their GATE application form with a late fee until October 09, 2025.

GATE 2026 exam will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026, in two shifts each day. As per official schedule, GATE 2026 result will be announced on March 19, 2026. Candidates can download their scorecards for free from March 27 to May 31, 2026. After this period, the scorecard will be available from June 01 to December 31, 2026, with a fee of INR 500.

Candidates can select up to four exam cities based on preference.
New rule: Cities must be from your Permanent or Present Address state.
NTA will allot the nearest available centres based on Permanent Address.
