XLRI Jamshedpur will announce the list of XAT 2026 exam centres along with the official notification. The exam will be held in over 109 cities in India, with at least one exam centre in each city. During the application process, candidates are allowed to select up to six preferred cities for exam centre allotment during the XAT 2026 application process.
The exam centres will be allotted based on the availability of the centres preferred by the applicants. The exact address of the designated centre will be mentioned on the XAT 2026 admit card. All XAT 2026 exam centres will have the latest technology to make sure the computer-based test runs smoothly.

Ans: The XAT 2026 exam is expected to be held in over 110 cities across India. Each city will have at least one test center, ensuring wide access for candidates from different regions.
Ans: No, there is no provision to change the XAT test centre once the XAT admit card has been issued. Candidates are allowed to select or modify their test city preferences only once while filling out the XAT application form. After submission, the application form becomes non-editable, and no further changes can be made to the selected exam centre.
Ans: The XAT 2026 examination centre is allocated based on the preference of the candidates during the application process. While XLRI makes every effort to allot a centre based on the candidate's preference, the final allotment depends on the availability of seats in the preferred cities. If any selected city reaches its capacity, candidates may be allotted an alternative city from their preferred list. The details of the final examination centre along with the address and reporting time will be mentioned on the XAT admit card.
Ans: On the day of the XAT 2026 exam, candidates must carry the following items to the test centre:
- Candidates must carry two printed copies of the XAT 2026 Admit Card.
- Original valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License)
- Recent Passport-size photograph.
Ans: Applicants can select their preferred XAT 2026 test cities while filling out the application form. Follow the steps below to choose your test centre preferences;
- Visit to the XAT 2026 on the official website for register
- Log in to fill up the application form
- Fill in all the required personal, academic and other relevant details
- Go to the ‘Select Test City’ section of the form
- Choose six preferred test cities from the available list in order of preference
- Fill in the rest of the form with correct information
- Proceed to pay the application fee and click on Submit to complete the process
Ans: The XAT exam is conducted online, so candidates are not required to carry any stationery other than a blue or black ballpoint pen, which is required for signing the attendance sheet. Bags and other personal valuables are also not allowed.
List of Things are not Allows in the XAT examination centre:
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, iPads, calculators, pagers and similar items are strictly prohibited in the exam centre.
- Candidates should avoid carrying metallic items, including metal accessories and jewellery.
- Clothing and accessories containing metallic elements, as well as caps, hats, sunglasses, hooded clothing, or clothing with pockets are not allowed.
