IIM Indore has provided an update on the IPMAT counselling 2025. The counselling process now includes five stages, that is IPMAT registration, IPMAT exam 2025, personal interview, merit list generation, and the final announcement of selected candidates. The IPMAT 2025 Answer Key was published on the official website on May 20, 2025. The IPMAT 2025 results were declared on June 5 through the official website. The selection rounds are expected to start by the third week of July 2025 and the selection list will be released by the last week of July 2025.

IIM Indore conducts the IPMAT exam 2025 for admission to their Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). The 2025 exam took place on May 12, and it's important to understand each phase of the selection process.

IPMAT Counselling 2025: Important Dates

You must be aware of the important dates related to the IPMAT counselling 2025. Refer to the table below for the important dates regarding the IPMAT counselling:

IPMAT Counselling 2025: Selection Process for Domestic Candidates

There are mainly five stages involved in the IPMAT counselling. The final outcome will be determined by performance in both the aptitude test and the personal interview.

Stage 1: Registration

  • Applicants are required to complete the online application form in order to register for the examination.
  • Keep the required documents ready while filling out the application form, as you have to upload a scanned copy of the documents.
  • You have to pay an application fee of INR 4130 for general category candidates and INR 2605 for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

Stage 2: IPMAT Exam 2025

Once you successfully complete your online application, you have to take the IPMAT exam 2025, which is a computer-based test (CBT).

  • There will be mainly three main sections in the IPMAT exam, that is Quantitative Ability (MCQ), Quantitative Ability (Short Answer Question), and Verbal Ability (MCQ).
  • Each question will have 4 alternative answers and you have to select one correct answer.
  • Each incorrect answer will result in a deduction of 1 mark, excluding the Quantitative Ability (Short Answer) section, where no negative marking applies.

Stage 3: Personal Interview (PI)

Candidates who have secured a positive raw score and a minimum mark in each of the three sections will be considered for the Personal Interview round. The conducting authority will decide the cutoff scores for each area. The minimum cutoff scores in each area will be determined by the categories of the candidates.

Stage 4: Merit List Generation

A sufficient number of candidates from each category will be selected for the PI round using the merit list, prepared based on the IPMAT exam score. Preferred institutes will invite shortlisted candidates to appear for the Personal Interview. Candidates must meet the minimum requirements to be eligible for the next round of the selection process.

Stage 5: Final Merit List

  • Candidates who meet the conditions mentioned in the last round will be considered for the final round of the selection process.
  • Based on the Composite Score, a category-wise merit list will be prepared.
  • Provisional admission will be offered following the government reservation criteria.

IPMAT Counselling 2025: Selection Process for International Candidates via SAT

International candidates will be shortlisted based on the SAT and Personal Interview. If they don't appear for the SAT and PI rounds, then they won't be considered for the final selection process:

Stage 1: Registration for International Candidates

  • For the selection process, you must have to submit your registration form within the deadline.
  • You will only be eligible for the selection rounds if you meet the minimum eligibility criteria.

Stage 2: Selection Process for International Candidates

  • International candidates will be selected for the next round of the selection process based on their performance in the SAT.
  • You must meet the minimum eligibility criteria required for the PI parameters, otherwise, you won't be considered for the next round of the selection process.
  • If you are not selected for the WAT and PI rounds, then individual regret letters will not be provided.

Stage 3: Final Merit

If you meet all the above-mentioned criteria, then you will be considered for the final round of the selection process. The final merit list will be prepared based on the composite score as shown in the table below:

Ans: Yes, your score in Class 10th and 12th plays a very important role in the IPM IIM Indore entrance exam. A qualifying score in Class 12 is a basic eligibility requirement for admission.
