VIT holds the Limca book of records for the placements done from a single institution for 7 consecutive years by IT sector companies such as Cognizant, TATA Consultancy Services, Accenture, Wipro, and Infosys. The IT companies had about 8,000 placements from VIT in the year 2016.

More than 3500 students are presented with Dream placement offers with Cost of Company (CTC) of 5.5 LPA and above. VIT AP students have multiple choices at the campus placements to select industry specific recruiters.
