The students aiming for PG studies across the Vellore, Chennai, AP, and Bhopal campuses must apply online through the official portal at admissions.vit.ac.in. To be eligible for the VIT Master’s Entrance Examination (VITMEE), you are required to have secured at least 60% marks (or an equivalent CGPA) in the 10th and 12th standards, as well as in your qualifying UG or PG degrees such as BE/B.Tech, B.Arch, MSc, or MCA. The VITMEE is a two-hour computer-based test worth 100 marks, split into 80 marks for core technical subjects and 20 marks for English communication.

The VITMEE 2026 selection process is based on the rank secured in the CBT. Shortlisted candidates will receive notifications via email and SMS to participate in a single-phase online counselling session, where they must submit their preferences for specific programs, campuses, and fee categories. Seat allotment is determined strictly by rank and choice availability, and once a seat is assigned, it cannot be changed.
