Telangana Engineering Admissions 2025: 1.07 Lakh Seats Available Across 171 Colleges; Know Branch-wise Seat Distribution

Telangana's 171 engineering colleges offer 1,07,218 seats for 2025 admissions. Telangana State Council of Higher Education announced on Sunday that web options for TGEAPCET-2025 counselling are open until July 10, 2025.

Telangana's 171 engineering colleges offer 1,07,218 seats, with 76,795 (70%) designated for the Convenor quota, as announced by Telangana State Council of Higher Education. This declaration coincided with the opening of web options for eligible TGEAPCET-2025 candidates, exercisable until July 10. Certificate verification concludes July 8. To date, 76,494 candidates have verified documents, and 95,654 have paid fees and booked slots.

Sridevasena, Commissioner of Technical Education and TGEAPCET-2025 Convenor, urged candidates to select numerous options for optimal first-phase allotment. The Higher Education Council detailed seat distribution: 21 constituent university engineering colleges account for 5,808 seats. 2 private university colleges offer 1,800 seats, with 1,260 under the Convenor quota. Additionally, 148 private unaided engineering colleges provide 99,610 seats, 69,727 of which are Convenor quota seats.

The Council also provided a detailed branch-wise seat breakup: Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) has 26,150 seats, CSE (AI & ML) has 12,495, and Electronics and Communication Engineering has 10,125. Other significant branches include CSE (Data Science) with 6,996 seats, Electrical and Electronics Engineering with 4,301, Information Technology with 3,681, Civil Engineering with 3,129, and Mechanical Engineering with 2,994. Further, 1,235 seats are available in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and 1,439 in CSE (Cybersecurity). Niche branches like Agricultural Engineering, Automobile Engineering, and others have limited availability, ranging from just 30 to 42 seats each.
