The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has commenced the self-slot selection process for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical) Examination, 2025 (Paper-I) today, November 10, 2025.

Log in to the official portal, ssc.gov.in, and use the candidate portal to pick their preferred examination city and date before the window closes on November 13, 2025, at 11:00 PM. This facility is crucial because the choice, once submitted, is final, with no changes permitted.

Those who fail to utilize this option will be automatically allocated an available slot by the system. While the original SSC JE Paper-I dates (October 27-31, 2025) were postponed, the exam is now expected in December 2025. Separately, candidates for the Sub-Inspector (SI)/CAPF exam can choose their slots between November 17 and 21, 2025.
