SSC CHSL 2025 exam has seen a record-breaking response. The Staff Selection Commission received over 30 lakh applications for just 3,131 posts. This massive surge translates to approx 981 candidates competing for each single vacancy. This competition for this year's Combined Higher Secondary Level exam is tougher than ever and highlights the growing demand for secure government jobs after Higher Secondary.

The SSC CHSL exam recruits Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operator (DEO) across various central government departments, attracts such high numbers due to the appeal of good salary, job security and simple eligibility criteria (Class 12th pass).
The recruitment process involves a Tier 1 Computer-Based Test a Tier 2 exam and a subsequent Skill or Typing Test. The Commission released the SSC CHSL Tier 1 exam city intimation slip on November 5, 2025, allowing to check allotted exam date, shift and city (as per your manual exam slot booking).
