Every year, the National Entrance Screening Test is jointly administered by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM DAE CEBS Mumbai for admission to various science programs.

NEST 2025 application window is closing today, May 13, 2025, at 12 Noon, as per the extended deadline. The application process, which began on February 17, 2025, is active on the official website, www.nestexam.in. Candidates seeking admission to MSc, integrated MSc, and PhD programs must submit their NEST 2025 application before this final deadline. Successful candidates are eligible for scholarships up to INR 60,000 per year. This year, UM DAE CEBS is offering 57 places, whereas NISER Bhubaneswar is offering over 200.

NEST 2025: What are the Eligibility Criteria?

The eligibility criteria for NEST 2025 presented below, have a look:

Qualifying Examination: Candidates must have passed their Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in either 2023 or 2024.
Appearing Candidates: Regardless of age or category, students who are taking or intend to take their Class 12 final exam (or its equivalent) in 2025 are also eligible to apply for the integrated MSc program at NISER/CEBS.
Minimum Marks in Qualifying Exam:
- A minimum cumulative score of 60% (or an equal grade) in their Class 12 (or equivalent) exam from an accredited Indian board is required of candidates in the general category.
- Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Divyangjan categories require a minimum of 55% in the same qualifying examination.
