For the 22.79 lakh registered candidates, NTA has mobilized a massive workforce of over 2 lakh personnel. To oversee activities and preserve the integrity of NEET 2026 exam, the extensive administrative network consists of 674 City Coordinators and 6,669 independent Observers stationed at various locations.

Every location has strict security measures in place to guard against fraud and online intrusion. Multi-layered biometric verification, required frisking procedures, and the installation of AI-powered CCTV cameras in conjunction with powerful signal jammers to prevent any unlawful communication are some of these protections.

NEET (UG) 2026 Re-Exam: Multi-Layered Security and Monitoring

To maintain complete integrity and transparency, NTA has put a security framework into action:

  • Secure Logistics: Examination materials are being transported in GPS-enabled vehicles under sealed protocols with dedicated police escorts.
  • Live Surveillance: All examination centers are equipped with CCTV cameras linked directly to centralized control rooms for real-time monitoring.
  • Strict Verification: Entry protocols include mandatory frisking via high-sensitivity metal detectors and Aadhaar-based biometric authentication to prevent identity fraud.
  • Anti-Malpractice Measures: The NTA is actively monitoring social media platforms to curb misinformation. Formal complaints have already been lodged with cyber-crime authorities, including the CBI, to take strict action against anyone spreading fraudulent rumors.

The Biometric Exception Policy

If a candidate's biometric verification cannot be completed due to technical glitches, poor fingerprint quality, or connectivity issues, they will not be denied entry. They will simply need to sign a manual written undertaking at the center and proceed to the exam hall while officials verify their identity using physical documents.

Comfort and Facilities for NEET 2026 Candidates

Given the large number of candidates and the prevailing summer heat, the NTA has mandated specific arrangements at all test centers:

  • Reliable power backup and generators to ensure uninterrupted lighting and fans.
  • Enough drinking water, sanitary amenities, and on-site medical assistance.
  • A wall clock in every examination room to help candidates track their time accurately.
