NEET PG 2025 counselling process remains on hold, causing concerns for many aspirants. The exam was conducted on August 03, 2025, and NEET PG 2025 result was declared on August 19, 2025, but national counselling for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) has not yet begun.

Meanwhile, states like Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu have started counselling for their 50% state quota seats. On the other hand, Supreme Court has given NBEMS two weeks to respond to a petition seeking greater transparency in NEET PG 2025 exam process.

The continued delay in NEET PG 2025 counselling has led to growing anxiety among aspirants, many of whom feel “Left stranded” without a clear timeline. Medical bodies like FORDA and FAIMA have strongly criticized the lack of progress and urged MCC to announce NEET PG counselling schedule.

Additionally, students reported data breach, where the personal details of over one lakh NEET PG candidates were leaked online, raising serious concerns about data privacy and security.

Doctors’ Reaction to NEET PG 2025 Counselling Delay

NEET PG 2025 counselling delay has caused strong reactions from doctors and medical aspirants across the country. The debate gained momentum after Dr. Nachiket Bhatia expressed his frustration on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the system “Tests doctors’ patience instead of their merit”.

Several other doctors also shared their concerns on Dr. Nachiket Bhatia’s post. Dr. Shreyansh Goyal questioned the effectiveness of legal cases that often take months to conclude, saying that by the time a verdict is reached, the damage is already done.

Dr. Aditya Gautam added that the silence of key medical organizations and the constant court hearings only worsened the situation. He called the entire issue a “Multifactorial problem”, reflecting the growing dissatisfaction within the medical community.

NEET PG 2025 aspirants are increasingly calling for urgent reforms in the postgraduate admission process due to repeated delays and lack of clarity in the counselling timeline. Many students feel that without a fixed annual calendar, every new batch of doctors will continue to face the same uncertainty and stress.

One aspirant summed up the frustration by saying, “Doctors dedicate the best years of their lives to medicine. The least they deserve is a predictable system”. The ongoing delays have once again raised serious questions about how NMC and NBEMS handle postgraduate medical admissions.

So far, NBEMS has not released any official update regarding NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule. As a result, aspirants are demanding a fixed, non-negotiable timeline covering the entire cycle of NEET PG, from exam date to final admissions. For many, Dr. Nachiket Bhatia’s remark, “Respect our time”, has become more than just a statement. It’s now a growing call for a lasting change in the system.

Current Status of NEET PG 2025 Counselling

The official NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats are still awaited, with no confirmation from MCC. While some expected the process to begin in mid-October, it is now likely to start in the last week of October, following the Supreme Court hearing. Meanwhile, a few states have started counselling for their 50% state quota seats, but the final MCC schedule is expected to influence ongoing state-level procedures as well.
