NEET PG 2025 counselling dates are expected to be announced soon by MCC. If you’ve scored above the qualifying percentile, you’ll be able to participate in the counselling process through official website, mcc.nic.in.

As of October 16, 2025, Medical Counselling Committee has not yet released the counselling schedule for NEET PG 2025. This delay is mainly due to two important reasons. First, a pending Supreme Court case concerning exam transparency. Second, the delay in finalizing seat matrix by the National Medical Commission.

Supreme Court is currently hearing a case related to the transparency of NEET PG exam 2025. The petition asks for NEET PG question papers and answer keys to be made public. The last hearing took place on September 26, 2025, where NBEMS was asked to submit a response. The next NEET PG SC hearing date is scheduled for October 28, 2025. Meanwhile, NMC has not yet finalized the seat matrix, as it is still reviewing the approval of new medical colleges and total number of seats for 2025–26 academic year.

Why is NEET PG 2025 Counselling Delayed?
The delay in NEET PG 2025 counselling is due to the following key factors:
- Pending Supreme Court Case: NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule has not been released mainly due to a pending Supreme Court case. A petition filed by NEET PG aspirants is challenging the transparency of the exam and is scheduled for hearing on October 28, 2025. The students are demanding the release of full question papers and NEET PG answer keys by NBEMS to verify their scores. Due to this ongoing legal matter, MCC has been asked to wait before starting 50% All India Quota (AIQ) counselling.
- Delay in Finalizing NEET PG Seat Matrix: Another reason for the delay is that NMC has not yet finalized the seat matrix for the 2025–26 academic year. This includes new seats from upcoming medical colleges and any increases in existing colleges. Without this approved data, MCC cannot move forward with counselling.
- Coordination Issues: Experts have pointed out that the delays in NEET PG counselling 2025 process are partly due to poor coordination and communication between NMC, MCC, and NBEMS. This lack of collaboration has led to slower decision-making and difficulties in finalizing important aspects like NEET PG seat matrix and counselling schedule.
- Student Data Leak and NEET PG Result Cancellation: In addition to the main issues, other factors have contributed to the ongoing delays and confusion. There have been serious allegations of a data breach, where personal details of thousands of NEET PG aspirants were leaked Moreover, NBEMS canceled NEET PG 2025 result of 13 candidates for malpractice.
