Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell has announced a major change in the exam pattern. MHT CET 2026 exam will now be held twice a year. For 2026-27academic session, both attempts are scheduled between March and May 2026, giving you the flexibility to appear in one or both sessions.

This new approach for MHT CET 2026 has been planned by the Higher and Technical Education Department to align the exam structure with national-level entrance tests like JEE Main. From 2027–28 session, the two attempts will be conducted over a longer duration. Additionally, CET Cell plans to hold two exams for MBA, MMS programs as well, though the official notification is yet to be released.
