The starting date for GATE 2026 application has been postponed from August 25 to August 28. This change has been updated on the official website.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE is an annually scheduled national-level entrance exam in India. It is held by one of the rotating committees of seven IITs and IISc Bangalore. The exam allows candidates to pursue higher education at top institutions like the IITs or secure jobs in PSUs.

IIT Guwahati is the organizing body for the GATE exam for this year. They have launched the official website and the GOAP Portal at goaps.iitg.ac.in, which will become active for registration. Apply for your GATE 2026 by the following steps here:

• Step 1: Visit official website for GATE 2026: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
• Step 2: Click the "GATE 2026 application" link.
• Step 3: Register and get an "enrollment ID".
• Step 3: Create a password and fill in your details.
• Step 4: Upload required documents and pay the category-wise fees.
• Step 5: After reviewing your information, submit the form.

GATE 2026 Registration Fees (For Regular and Extended Period)

The registration fees for GATE 2026 vary based on the category of the candidate and the application date. During the regular registration period (August 28 - September 28), the fee is INR 1000 per test paper for Female, SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and INR 2000 for all other candidates, including foreign nationals. For those who apply during the extended period (September 29 to October 9), the fee increases to INR 1500 for Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates and INR 2500 for all other candidates.

UP NEET PG 2025 counselling will be conducted in four rounds, allocating 85% state quota seats based on choices, NEET scores, and reservations. The remaining 15% All India Quota seats will be managed by MCC.

UP NEET PG 2025 counselling dates have been officially released on the state’s exam portal, upneet.gov.in. You can begin round 1 registration process from November 06, 2025. To participate in the seat allocation, you must register online and submit your preferred choices of colleges and courses. The deadline for application submission is October 10, 2025. If you have qualified NEET PG 2025 exam and meet the minimum cutoff criteria, you are eligible to take part in Uttar Pradesh NEET PG counselling process.
