GATE 2026 Application Correction Ends on March 15 @goaps.iitg.ac.in: Rectify 'Form Defects' to Avoid Result Withholding

IIT Guwahati is to close the GATE 2026 application defect rectification window on March 15, 2026. This final opportunity is specifically for candidates whose forms were marked as "defective" or "provisionally accepted." Get the details and direct link below.

To prevent the results from being withheld, these GATE 2026 candidates must immediately log in to the GOAPS portal at goaps.iitg.ac.in using their enrollment ID and password. The rectification process involves correcting errors—such as unclear photographs, signatures, or invalid category certificates and paying any applicable correction fees via digital methods like UPI or credit cards.

Completing these steps is critical, as only those with cleared applications will be able to access their results on March 19 and download their scorecards starting March 27. The GATE qualifying score for each of the 30 examinations will also be released by IIT Guwahati.

How to Clear Defects on Your GATE 2026 Application Form?

If you have been notified via email or SMS, or if your status on the portal shows a defect, follow these steps:

Step 1: Access the GOAPS Portal at goaps.iitg.ac.in.
Step 2: Look for the specific defect mentioned.
Step 3: Upload the corrected documents or modify the details as instructed.
Step 4: Once submitted, your status will change to "Under Scrutiny: Defect Rectification Done." It will then be reviewed by the zonal office.
