How to Calculate Your Marks Using CLAT PG Answer Key 2026?

After the CLAT PG 2026 Answer Key is out, you can check your answers and get an idea of how much you can score. This is helpful because it tells you whether you can get a good rank, even before the results are officially declared.

To find out your marks, you just need to calculate:

  • How many answers you got correct
  • How many you got wrong

Now, for each correct answer, you will get 1 mark. But if you give a wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. If you leave a question blank, no marks will be added or deducted for it.

 Look at the simple example:

  • Suppose you have answered 100 questions. Out of these, 80 are correct and 10 are wrong

 Now think about it:

  • For each correct answer you will get 1 mark: 80 marks
  • For each wrong answer you will lose 0.25 marks: 10 × 0.25 = 2.5 marks will be deducted

So, your total score will be:

  • 80 – 2.5 = 77.5 marks

This is an easy way to calculate your CLAT PG score before the results are out. It gives you an idea of where you are standing.

How to Objection CLAT PG Answer Key 2026?

After the release of the CLAT PG 2026 Provisional Answer Key, Consortium has given students the opportunity to object if they find any answer wrong. This option is helpful for those who find mistakes in the answer key or question paper.

But remember, you can object only for a limited time, so it is important to check the key and answer paper quickly.

How to object is explained step-by-step below:

  • First, Go to the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
  • Login to your CLAT PG 2026 account using your mobile number and password.
  • Click on the option that says "Submit Objection."
  • Select the question number you want to challenge.
  • Choose the answer you think is correct.
  • Write a brief explanation or reason why the given answer is wrong.
  • If possible, attach a reference (such as a book or legal source) to support your answer.
  • Submit objections before the deadline.

After the objection window closes, the consortium will review all objections. If they find your objection valid, they will change it to the final answer key. Once the final key is published, no further objections will be allowed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ans: Yes, it is strongly recommended to download both the CLAT PG Answer Key 2026 and your personal Response sheet. The answer key only shows the correct options for each question, but the response sheet shows the marks you actually scored in the exam. By comparing the two, you can check your answers correctly and calculate your score. Without the response sheet, you cannot figure out which questions are wrong or right. Both the documents are available on the official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in - for a limited time, so it is better to download and save them as soon as they are published.

Ans: The CLAT PG Provisional Answer Key 2026 is prepared by an expert panel and is generally reliable, but it may contain some errors or controversial answers. This is why the consortium provides an opportunity to raise objections. You can use the Provisional Key to calculate an approximate score, but your final result may differ slightly if any answers are corrected later in the final answer key. So, while it is helpful for initial score estimation, you should wait for the final key for a definitive result.

Ans: No, raising a false objection will not reduce your marks or affect your result. The consortium simply reviews the objections and accepts or rejects them based on expert analysis. If your objection is rejected, your score remains the same as per the existing answer key. There is no penalty or negative marking for raising a false objection. However, students should avoid raising objections haphazardly or inadvertently, as they waste time and slow down the evaluation process for everyone.

Ans: Generally, the CLAT PG 2026 response sheet and answer key are available a few days after the exam. Once the final answer key is released and the CLAT PG 2026 result is declared, the link to download the answer key may be removed from the website. Therefore, it is better to download and save both the response sheet and your answer key before the results are declared. Keeping a copy will also be helpful for you in case you want to check the cutoff or apply for counseling later.

Ans: Based on the trend of previous years, the CLAT PG 2026 objection window is likely to be open for 24 to 48 hours after the release of the provisional answer key. This is a very short time, so candidates are advised to check the answer key and submit any objections quickly. Once the objection submission deadline has passed, no changes or requests will be accepted. The exact date and time of the objection window will be mentioned on the official website along with the answer key notification.

Ans: CLAT PG Final Answer Key 2026 is the most important version of the key as the results will be prepared strictly based on it. After verifying all the objections raised by the students, the consortium updates the final answer key as necessary and releases the final key. Once published, it cannot be challenged again. Your scorecard marks will be calculated using this final key. This is why students should not just rely on the provisional key - they should wait for the final key to know their exact performance.
