GBS Kolkata Scholarship: National Scholarship Scheme

Globsyn Business School offers this scholarship for Post Graduate Management students. This is targeted towards students with excellent achievement in academics and extracurricular activities. Note that the National Scholarship Scheme also recognizes achievements in non-academic areas.

Bikram Dasgupta Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship is for candidates from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The details of the scholarship are:

Outstanding Achievers Scholarship

This scholarship is for students excelling in sports or cultural/arts domains. The Outstanding Achievers Scholarship details are detailed here:

Total Students	6 (Sports = 3; Arts = 3)
Quantum	INR 1 L each
Eligibility	For sportspersons, the student should have received recognition from a recognized state or national level sports body or association.
	In the arts, applicants must be recognized for excellence by regional or national bodies or associations.
	Parents’/ guardian’s income must be < ‘Parental Income Ceiling’.
	Recipients must keep a CGPA >= 5.0+ and participate in Beyond Education activities
Duties	Recipient’s performance will be checked after each semester to decide if they remain eligible for the partial fee waiver.
Disbursal	The waiver will be given in two parts – 50% (INR 50,000) in the second-last installment and the remaining 50% in the final installment.

GBS Kolkata Scholarship: Parental Income Ceiling

To avail Globsyn scholarships, the parental income must be below INR 8 lakh per year. Applicants need to submit an income certificate or a self-attested copy of the latest income tax return of their parent/guardian. They also must submit an Aadhaar card (or any valid government ID) for both the student and the parent.

GBS Kolkata Scholarship: Selection Procedure

Shortlisted candidates need to attend an interview.
Candidates are required to show proof of their achievement in the interview.
After the interview session, the Scholarships Committee will submit the recommendation to the Director. After the final approval, candidates will be granted scholarships.

Ans. No. Scholarship fee waivers apply only to the program/course fee. Other charges like re-exam fees, student activity fees, library fees, hostel fees, or late payment charges are not included.

Ans. Students already receiving another scholarship will not be eligible for Globsyn Business School Kolkata scholarship. Note that applicants must submit a declaration, and if it is found false, the scholarship may be cancelled.

Ans. Globsyn Business School scholarship recipients must uphold the dignity of GBS. Hence, the scholarship will be cancelled if any disciplinary action is taken against them.
