Ahmedabad University Scholarship 2026: Eligibility, Selection Process & Benefits

Ahmedabad University aims to provide financial support to students from all economic and social backgrounds through its scholarship programs. Ahmedabad University Scholarship is available for UG, PG and PhD level students. For B.Tech and other UG courses, the scholarships offered include Need-Based Scholarship, Merit Fellowships and Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship Program.

For certain specialization under the master's program, students who meet the eligibility criteria are granted a scholarship of INR 75,000/year along with teaching assistantship/fellowship of INR 50,000. While, in some specializations only fellowship/ teaching assistantship is offered. The doctoral program includes a fellowship of INR 50,000 and a teaching assistantship of INR 40,000.

Ahmedabad University BTech Scholarship

Ahmedabad University grants scholarships for its BTech students. There are mainly 3 types of scholarship, that includes Need-based Scholarship, Ahmedabad Merit Fellowships and Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship program. More details about Ahmedabad Scholarship for BTech are mentioned below.

1. Need-Based Scholarships

This scholarship is designed for students with a low family income. Through this scholarship scheme, the university financially helps the students so that they can continue their education. The detail of the scholarship is mentioned below.

• Students with a family income of less than 5 lakh will be granted a 90% to 100% fee waiver.
• They also offer a few housing scholarships for the students who are from outside of Ahmedabad.

Note: The scholarship will be offered only after auditing the student's family income, expenditure patterns, and assistance. There will also be an independent auditing agency that will visit the students' homes for more details.

2. Ahmedabad Merit Fellowships

This scholarship is offered based on Gujarat ACPC and JEE Main scores. More details about the scholarship offered are mentioned below.

• Students securing All India Rank up to 30,000 in the JEE Main will be eligible for full or partial fee concession.
• Students whose ranks is between 1-1000 in the Gujarat ACPA will be eligible for full or partial fee concession.

3. Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Program

Ahmedabad University offers Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship to the meritorious students or the entire program duration i.e, 4/5 years for B.Tech and integrated B.Tech program. The benefit of the scholarship is highlighted below.

• Full tuition fee waiver.
• Hostels fees for the students from outside Ahmedabad.
• Reimbursement for students who purchase laptops.
• Fee waiver for independent study period courses.

Ahmedabad University Scholarship for UG Programs (Except BTech)

Like the BTech program, Ahmedabad University also offers scholarships for the students of the rest of the UG programs, which includes BBA, B.Sc and B.Com,

1. Need-Based Scholarships

Ahmedabad University provides need-based scholarships to students from low-income families. Students with proper documentation can avail up to 100% scholarship. Detailed information is mentioned below.

• Students with a family income of less than 5 lakh will be granted a 90% to 100% fee waiver.
• Students with a family income between 5 Lakh to 10 Lakh will be eligible for partial or full fee concession.
• The university will also offer housing scholarships that will cover the rents of hostels for students who come from other states.

2. Merit Fellowships

Under this scholarship scheme students who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be eligible for Vice-Chancellors, Executive Provost's and Dean’s fellowship. Outlined below are the amount of fellowship that the candidates can receive.

• Vice Chancellors Fellowship: Here, students will be offered a one-time fellowship of INR 3 Lakh.
• Executive Provost's Fellowship: Here, the candidate will be offered a one-time fellowship of INR 2 Lakh.
• Dean’s Fellowship: The students will be granted a one-time fellowship of INR 1 Lakh.

3. Merit Scholarships

Students with high scores will be granted this scholarship by the university from the second year. The number of scholarships available for each program may vary depending on the number of students enrolled.

4. Mahatma Gandhi Scholars Program

Ahmedabad University offers Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship to the meritorious students or the entire program duration i.e, 4/5 years for B.Tech and integrated B.Tech program. The benefit of the scholarship is highlighted below.

Ahmedabad University MBA Scholarship
