IIT Bombay offers various scholarships to the needy and intelligent students. The grants vary in amount and requirements.

Details

 1.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship (Institute Scholarship)

 

Students gets a tuition fee waiver of INR 25,000 per semester. 25% of undergraduate students get INR 1000 per month, and 10% get free tuition. The family income should not exceed INR 4.5 lakhs. Also, SC/ST students don’t have to pay tuition fees and they get INR 250 per month as a pocket allowance.

IIT Bombay Heritage Fund Scholarship

 

This is a merit scholarship, which is provided to students with parent’s income hat does not exceed INR 5 lakhs.

 

 3.

Dr. Burjor Godrej Scholarship

 

Students get two grants of INR 5000 per month and six INR 2000 per month, and 10 Prof. MV Pandya Merit Cum Means Scholarship of INR 1000 per month. These are for the MSC chemistry students. There is The MV Pandya Fellowship Merit cum Means Scholarship that offers INR 10,000 per year and the family income must not exceed INR 1.5 lakhs.

 

 4.

Aditya Birla Scholarship

 

Students get INR 65,000 per year, and can renew the grant each year with a required academic score. 25% of students can get this, and they have to take part in various activities like essay writing and more.

 

 5.

OPJEMS Scholarship

 

This scholarship gives INR 65,000 a year. Two toppers from Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, can get this scholarship. Also, 12 top students from the specialization batch can get this for 4 years.

 

 6.

INSPIRE Scholarship

 

This is offered to the Masters and Bachelor degree students. 10,000 scholarships are offered with the amount of INR 80,000 to each eligible student in the stream of Natural & Basic Sciences. The candidate should be on the top 1% in the 12th standard and must have opted for Natural & Basic Sciences studies.
