NTA released the NEET UG results on June 14, 2025. In a related development, the Madhya Pradesh High Court had previously directed NTA to conduct a re-examination for students in Indore and Ujjain who experienced disruptions due to power outages at their exam centers, noting that these students were unfairly disadvantaged through no fault of their own. However, recent reports indicate that a division bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has stayed this re-test order until a further hearing on July 10, 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ans: Even if a candidate misses the choice locking step, they will still be considered eligible for seat allotment. The choices they have entered will be automatically locked in the order they were filled, and the seat allotment will be based on this default order.

Ans: No, there is no specific limit to the number of courses or colleges a candidate can add during the MCC NEET counselling process. However, it is strongly advised that candidates choose colleges wisely to maximize their chances of seat allotment, taking into account previous years' NEET cutoffs.

Ans: Candidates should check previous years' NEET cutoffs of their preferred colleges before filling or locking choices to make realistic selections. For instance, if a candidate has a score in the 300 range but only chooses highly competitive, tier-1 colleges, their chances of receiving a seat allotment would be significantly lower. Consulting past cutoffs helps in making informed decisions for a better chance of admission.
