Over the last five years, NTA has gradually advanced the registration timeline. For example, last year JEE Main registrations began on October 28, 2025. In 2024 it began on November 01, 2024. This shows that the process starts earlier each year, giving you more time to prepare for your board exams after completing the application.
NTA Guidelines on Documents for JEE Main 2026 Registration
Before starting your JEE Main 2026 registration, make sure your documents are updated and valid. NTA has advised all candidates to review and update their Aadhar card, UDID, and category certificates if needed to avoid any mismatch or errors during JEE Main application 2026 process. JEE Main Exam Difficulty and Pattern Update

New Rules for JEE Main 2026 Exam Centre Selection
Candidates can select up to four exam cities based on preference.
New rule: Cities must be from your Permanent or Present Address state.
NTA will allot the nearest available centres based on Permanent Address.
