The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results and scorecards for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 exam on January 30, 2026. On December 18, 2025, 1,54,080 candidates appear for the CBT-mode exam. Life Sciences recorded the highest participation with 67,032 attendees, while female candidates showed strong representation with over 93,000 examinees.

 

 

Following the expert verification of answer key challenges, the final scores are now live at csirnet.nta.nic.in, where you can download the scorecards using the application number and date of birth. The final result PDF contains the roll numbers and ranks of those who have successfully qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) or Assistant Professor eligibility.

How to Download Your CSIR NET Dec 2025 Result? 

  • Step 1: Go to the official NTA CSIR NET website. 
  • Step 2: Look for 'Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2025 Result' under the Latest News section. 
  • Step 3: Enter your Application Number and Security Pin to view your marks. 
  • Step 4: Save the Subject-wise Final Answer Key PDF to verify Question IDs against your recorded responses.

What will the CSIR NET 2026 Scorecard Include? 

Your individual CSIR NET scorecard will include the following key information: 

  • Personal Identity: Full name, roll number, application number, photo and signature. 
  • Performance Breakdown: Specific marks obtained in Part A, Part B & Part C. 
  • Total Scores: Your aggregate marks (out of 200) and your NTA Score (%). 
  • Qualifying Status: Whether you qualified for JRF, Assistant Professor, or both. 
  • Rank: Your All India Rank (AIR), which is only displayed if you have qualified. 
  • Category Details: Your applied category (General, OBC, SC, ST, etc.) and the qualifying cutoff for that category. 

Final scores were calculated after dropping three questions (two in Life Sciences, one in Chemical Sciences) following expert review. To resolve ties, NTA prioritizes lower negative marks, then higher scores in Part C, followed by Part B and finally candidate age. The minimum qualifying cutoffs are 33% for General/EWS/OBC and 25% for SC/ST/PwD categories.
