Ans. Yes, candidates educated from foreign boards or international schools can apply for the SET 2025 exam. Also, international students, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) must apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE). They will follow a separate admission process, but if they fulfill the educational and qualification requirements prescribed by Symbiosis International University, they are fully eligible to appear for the SET.
Ans. There is no government restriction on the number of times a candidate can appear for the SET exam. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria for the respective academic year, you can apply and re-appear for the exam. This means that if you do not get your desired
score or admission in the previous attempt, you can appear for the SET exam the next year without any problem.
However, keep in mind that the SET exam is held once a year, usually in May, and your application will be considered for admission only for that particular academic year. Therefore, each year is considered a new opportunity and if you wish to appear for the exam again, you will have to re-apply.
Ans.Yes, the eligibility criteria for SET 2025 may vary slightly depending on the programme you are applying for. While the basic requirement for most undergraduate courses is to have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board, some programmes may have specific subject preferences or minimum percentage requirements.
For example, courses like BBA, BCA, BA Mass Communication and B.Sc. Economics offered by different Symbiosis institutes may require different academic backgrounds or skill sets. Some programmes may prefer students from specific streams - such as Mathematics for BCA - or may expect higher percentage marks in class 12th.
