Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) does not officially publish the MICAT syllabus along with the information brochure. Since the exam is conducted for entry into PGDM and PGDM - Communications programs, its structure and syllabus differ from standard MBA entrance exams. In addition to the standard aptitude-based sections, the MICAT syllabus includes a Psychometric Test and a Descriptive Test.

Section A of MICAT 2026 is the Psychometric Test, which is compulsory to attempt but is not considered while preparing the merit list. On the other hand, Sections B and C form the basis of merit evaluations. These two sections cover areas such as verbal ability, quantitative ability, divergent and convergent reasoning, general awareness with a focus on media and communication, and creative writing.

This unique combination of aptitude assessment, psychometric analysis, and descriptive writing makes the MICAT different from other management entrance exams. Here you will also get the MICAT 2026 syllabus PDF download link.
