JEXPO Eligibility Criteria 2025

Students wishing to apply for JEXPO 2025 must meet the eligibility criteria set by the West Bengal State Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development. The eligibility criteria are detailed below:

Nationality

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

 Residence

• To apply for seats in government polytechnic colleges, the student must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• However, students from other states can apply for self-financed seats in private institutions.

 Eligibility Test

• The student must have passed the Madhyamik examination (Class 10) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board like WBBSE, CBSE, ICSE, or any other state board.

 Compulsory Subjects

• In the eligibility test, the student must have studied Mathematics, Physical Science (which includes Physics and Chemistry) and English.

 Minimum Qualifying Marks

• There is no minimum percentage requirement. However, the student must pass all subjects in the qualifying exam to be considered eligible. Must have secured at least 35% marks. Admission will be based on the total marks obtained in class 10.

 Current Candidates

• Students appearing in the class 10 board examination in 2025 can also apply. However, they must have passed the examination and submitted their marks before counselling.

 Age Limit

• The candidate must be at least 15 years of age as on 1 July 2025.
• There is no upper age limit for admission.

The JEXPO 2025 application form is available online through the official portal. Students who wish to take admission in the first year Diploma Engineering course need to fill the form correctly by registering on the website, uploading documents and paying the required fee.

The process to fill the JEXPO 2025 application form is described below:

 Step 1: Visit the official website

Visit the official portal for Diploma admission in West Bengal at- scvtwb.in.

 Step 2: Click on “New Registration”

Click on the “New Registration” link under the JEXPO 2025 section to start your application.

Step 3: Fill in your basic details

Enter your full name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, and create a secure password.

 Step 4: Complete the registration

After entering the details, submit the form to complete your registration. You will receive your login credentials.

 Step 5: Log in to your account

Use your registered mobile number or email and the password you set to log in to the portal.

JEXPO 2025 Counselling Process

After the JEXPO 2025 merit list is published, the selected students will get admission through counselling. In this process, the students will be able to choose which college and which diploma course they want to study. The entire process is done online on the official website — scvtwb.in. Below is a detailed explanation of how the counselling is done:

Login and register for counselling

If your name is on the merit list, first visit the website and log in with your application number and password. Then you will have to register for counselling.

Select College and Course

After registering, you will see a list of colleges and diploma courses. You will have to choose which college and which course you want to choose. Keep your top choices at the top as the seats will be given based on your merit and your choice.

Check the seat allotment result

The board will look at your marks, your choice, and the number of seats available. Based on that, they will allot you a seat. You can log in to check which college and course you have got.

Pay the booking fee

If you are satisfied with your allotted seat, you must complete the seat booking by paying the required fee online within the given deadline. The fee is usually INR.500/-.

 Download the allotment letter

After paying the fee, you will receive the allotment letter. Download it and keep it safe - you will need it while taking admission in the college.

 Visit the college for final admission

Finally, you will have to visit the allotted college with all your original documents and the allotment letter. There, your documents will be verified, and your admission will be completed.

• Counseling may be held in multiple rounds.
