Frequently Asked Questions
Ans: Yes. In KEAM Counselling 2025, there is no separate round for verification of documents offline or in person before allotment of seats. However, during the application process, all the candidates have to upload their Plus Two marks, community/income certificate, PwD certificate, etc., along with the required documents. Only applicants who complete this process correctly will be listed in the KEAM merit list and become eligible for seat allotment. The authorities use these uploaded details to prepare the final merit list. So, if you do not upload the documents or enter incorrect details, your application may be rejected, or your rank may be affected. After allotment, at the time of admission to the allotted college, the original documents will have to be shown for final verification. So keep all the original documents ready. This online verification step is very important to secure your seat in KEAM 2025.
Ans: No. After locking your course and college choices during KEAM 2025 Alternative (Option) Registration, you will not be allowed to make any changes. The Alternative Registration window is open for a limited time only and you are advised to check your choices carefully before locking. If you forget to lock, the system will automatically lock your last saved choices at the end of the time limit. After that, no changes are allowed under any circumstances. Therefore, it is better to sort and review your choices as per your priority list and lock them in advance. Remember that KEAM seat allotment will be done in the order of your locked choices. If you make a mistake or do not lock the correct options, you may miss out on your desired course or college. So, be careful while filling the form online.
Ans: If you do not register or do not fill the choices during KEAM 2025 Round 1 Counselling, you will not be considered for seat allotment in that round. However, this does not mean that you are completely out of the counseling process. If the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) conducts further rounds (such as Round 2 or Mop-up) and you are still eligible, you may be allowed to register and appear. But skipping Round 1 reduces your chances of getting a good seat as many top colleges and branches may be filled. Also, the rules may change for each round. Sometimes, if you miss the first round, you may have to reconfirm your intention to appear again. Therefore, to avoid confusion and missed opportunities, it is better to complete your KEAM alternative registration on time and appear in Round 1 itself.
Ans: Yes. The KEAM 2025 seat allotment process follows the reservation policy of the Government of Kerala. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, PwD and some other categories are eligible for reserved seats. However, to claim this facility, candidates need to upload a valid reservation certificate during the KEAM application or counselling process. There is a certain percentage of reserved seats in each category in various government and aided colleges. The cutoff rank for reserved category candidates is generally lower than that of general category students. Also, candidates applying under PwD or EWS quota have to follow specific rules prescribed by CEE. If any document is missing or invalid, the reservation claim may be rejected. Therefore, it is important to read the government reservation guidelines carefully and submit proper evidence during registration. This will help you to secure a seat under your eligible category during KEAM counselling 2025.
Ans: The result of KEAM 2025 seat allotment will be available on the official website –cee.kerala.gov.in.To view your allotment status, simply log in using your application number and password. After logging in, you will see whether any seat has been allotted to you. If a seat is allotted, you will get detailed information like course name, allotted college, token fee amount, and payment and reporting instructions. You may also receive an email or SMS alert, but you will have to check the website for confirmation. After getting the seat, you will have to pay the admission fee and download the KEAM allotment memo, which is required while reporting to the college. If you do not check your allotment status on time or miss the payment/reporting deadline, your seat may get cancelled. So always follow the schedule carefully.
Ans: If you fail to report to the allotted college within the stipulated time after allotment of KEAM 2025 seats, your seat will be cancelled. Also, your admission (token) fee, which is paid to confirm the seat, may not be refunded. The vacant seat will then be given to another eligible candidate in the next round. Reporting means physically going to the allotted college with all your original documents (like allotment memo, marksheet, admit card, etc.) and completing the admission formalities. Some colleges may allow online reporting depending on the instructions of CEE. However, non-reporting or delay may result in loss of your seat. If you wish to appear in further rounds, you must follow the official instructions and re-submit your wish if necessary. So always read the allotment result and deadline carefully during the KEAM Counselling 2025 process to avoid cancellation.
Ans: Yes, you can apply for KEAM Counselling 2025, but only for certain courses. If you are seeking admission to medical, agriculture, veterinary, fisheries or architecture courses in Kerala, you do not need to appear for the KEAM entrance exam. For these courses, a valid NEET (for medical) or NATA (for architecture) score is required. You still need to register for counselling on the KEAM portal and fill in your course and college preferences under CAP (Centralised Allotment Process). However, if you are applying for B.Tech or B.Pharm, then appearing for the KEAM entrance exam is mandatory. Without a KEAM rank, you will not be considered for seat allotment in engineering and pharmacy streams. So, depending on the course you are applying for, check the eligibility criteria and entrance requirements before registering for KEAM 2025 counselling.
