IIT Madars admission 2025 for various UG, Integrated, PG, and PhD programs are based on national level entrance examinations. The 1^st ranked autonomous University by NIRF offers flagship BTech program with a total fee of INR 8 Lakhs. You need to qualify JEE Advanced exam followed by JoSAA Counselling to apply for the IIT Madars BTech program. JoSAA conducts six rounds of counseling, and seat allocation is based on factors such as rank in JEE Advanced exam, category, and seat availability. Similarly, admission to the flagship MTech program is through GATE exam followed by COAP counselling.

Moreover, IIT Madras provides admission to MSc, MBA, MA, MS, and PhD programs at the postgraduate level. Admission to MSc and MBA programs is based on IIT JAM and CAT scores, respectively. IIT Madras Admission Process 2025

IIT Madars admission 2025 to various UG and PG programs is through national level entrance examination. Admission to the BTech program is through JEE Advanced exam followed by JoSAA Counselling. Check the admission process of BTech, MTech, MSc, and MBA in the table below.

IIT Madras BS in Data Science and BSc in Programming and Data Science

IIT Madras also offers online BS in Data Science and Applications and BSc in Programming and Data Science. For admission to the BS in Data Science and Applications you should have earned 114 credits and completed the BSc Degree Level to enter the BS Degree Level.

However, for BSc in Programming and Data Science admission should have cleared all 8 courses in Foundation Level and all 12 courses + 4 projects in Diploma Level.

IIT Madras Foundation Level Program

Admission to the Foundation Level program at IIT Madras takes place in two ways: Regular Entry and JEE Based Entry.

Regular Entry

You can take admission to the Foundation Level of any programs at IIT Madras, irrespective of your background by successfully completing the qualifier process. For the Qualifier exam, the eligibility criteria for the General students are 40% in 10+2 level. Only eligible students can appear for the Qualifier Exam after completing the 4-week course. The Qualifier Exam Result remains valid for the period of 3 terms or 1 year.

JEE-based Entry for Foundation Level Course

Given below are the steps to apply for the program after clearing the JEE Advanced exam.

• You need to carefully fill out the application form.
• Upload the JEE Advanced score.
• Pay the application fee of INR 3K.
• Next, you must register for courses (English 1, Maths 1, Statistics 1, Computational Thinking) by paying the course fees.
• Only after you register for courses will you get access to content.
• Thereafter you continue the program as a regular student.
• You can pursue the program even as you join another college or degree.

• Signature (JPEG / JPEG format) 4KB-150KB
• Photo ID Card Scan - Aadhar Card / PAN Card / Passport / Voter ID / Driving License / other Government ID with photo (JPEG / JPG / PDF format) - 50KB to 2MB file size.
• Category Certificate - only for applicants who select SC / ST / OBC-NCL* / EWS (JPEG / JPG / PDF format) - 50KB to 2MB file size.
• PwD Certificate - only for applicants with 40% or more disability (JPEG / JPG / PDF format) - 50KB to 2MB file size.
• Proof of applicant having been permanently disabled OR parent having been permanently disable / killed during war or peacetime operations while serving as a defence / paramilitary personnel. - if applicable (JPEG / JPG / PDF format) - 50KB to 2MB file size.
• Only for those applying to join via JEE-based entry: Scoresheet / admit card / registration receipt as proof of eligibility to write JEE Advanced (PDF format) - 50KB to 2MB file size.
