NMIMS Chandigarh is a private institute, established on 12 October 2009 with its foundation laid by Punjab Governor Gen. (Retd.) S. F. Rodrigues and SVKM members. All STME programs are approved by the AICTE. The School of Law programs are approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

NMIMS Chandigarh offers UG programs in Commerce, Law, and Engineering. The School of Commerce provides BBA and B.Com programs, while the School of Law offers BA LLB and BBA LLB courses, and STME offers B.Tech in Computer Engineering and Data Science.
