IIM Kozhikode PGP BL Admissions

IIM Kozhikode has implemented a three-stage selection process for its admissions to the Postgraduate program in Business Leadership (PGP BL) Program.

Stage 1: Registration of Candidates Meeting the Minimum Eligibility Criteria.

Candidates are required to have a minimum of 50% or equivalent CGPA in graduation, post-graduation, CA/CMA(ICWA)/CS, and 3 years of work experience after graduation.

Stage 2: Submitting an additional personal statement.

The program's design and vision involve a conversational engagement process to select participants for the program, with candidates submitting an additional personal statement as part of the assessment process.

Statement of Goals: IIM Kozhikode's PGP-BL Program combines individual and collective learning elements. Understanding a candidate's personal aspirations helps understand their career objectives, initiates conversations, and contributes to the design of the learning experience. The two goals are:

  • Short term
  • Long term

Alternative resume essay: The PGP-BL application details a candidate's academic, professional background, accomplishments, self-assessment, and expectations. This alternative resume essay allows the candidate to express their "rest of their story" and present themselves as a total person, highlighting what the formal CV may not project.

Stage 3: Shortlisting for a Personal interview.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Personal Interaction (PI) process, where the panel evaluates their performance based on work experience, diversity, leadership qualities, social sensitivity, and multi-dimensionality. The key attributes include strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities, as well as diversity and leadership qualities.
