The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the official information bulletin and schedule for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2027 later this year. While the NTA has not yet issued the official notification, the examination timelines are anticipated to align with previous academic cycles.

According to past JEE MAIN trends, the entrance test for admission to undergraduate engineering and architecture programs across India will be administered in two sessions—Session 1 in January 2027 and Session 2 in April 2027.
The double-exam format provides candidates two opportunities to attempt the test. If an applicant chooses to sit for both sessions, their highest NTA percentile score will be considered for final merit ranking and cutoff determination.
