The official cutoff for BITSAT 2025 will be released by BITS Pilani authorities. You can review the anticipated BITSAT cutoff based on the past allotment of candidates to the participating campuses. With the BITSAT cutoff 2025, you can check the minimum scores that are needed to have a higher chance of admission to your preferred campuses. Meeting the BITSAT cutoff does not guarantee admission, as other selection criteria also play a role. However, the chances of seat allotment for candidates will significantly increase. While preparing for the cutoff, there will be various factors related to the examination and admission process will be considered. The BITSAT 2025 cutoff will vary based on various factors, such as category, course, and college selected for admission. For comparison, you may review the BITSAT cutoff scores from previous years.

BITSAT Iteration-Wise Cutoff 2024

The BITSAT Iteration Wise cutoff 2024 shows the lowest scores needed for admission into different courses at BITS campuses (Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad). In 2024, the admission process happened in 3 rounds. The first Round was the initial list that showed who got seats based on their scores. The Second & Third rounds adjusted the cutoff scores. The scores fluctuated depending on the number of empty seats and the students' course preferences.

BITSAT Iteration 1 Cutoff 2024

In the first round of BITSAT 2024 Iteration 1, the Computer Science (CSE) program at the Pilani campus was the hardest to get into. Students needed a score of 332 or 331 (> 327), followed by Math and Computing (MnC), with a cutoff score of 323, and Electronics (ECE) with Pilani cutoff score of 318. Other programs like Pharmacy (B.Pharm) had a lower cutoff of 217 at the Pilani campus and 186 at the Goa campus.

BITSAT Iteration 2 Cutoff 2024

For BITSAT 2024 Iteration 2, the cutoffs changed after Iteration 1 of seat offers. Computer Science (CSE) remains the most challenging program to gain admission to. At the Pilani campus, the CSE cutoff was 332 to 331 (higher than 327 in the first round). The cutoff score for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) was 304 at BITS Goa and 298 at BITS Hyderabad. Programs like Mathematics and Computing (MnC) and Electronics & Communication (ECE) showed a similar pattern. Their cutoffs were lower at the Goa and Hyderabad campuses compared to Pilani. MnC was around 295, and ECE was around 293 at these campuses. The cutoff for the Pharmacy program (B.Pharm) stayed the same at Pilani (217).

In the third round of the BTSAT 2024 cutoffs, CSE at Pilani is still the hardest program to get into. The cutoff is very high, around 332 or 331 (up from 327). Programs like MnC (Math and Computing) and ECE had cutoffs that stayed about the same as before. Pilani is around 323, Goa is 295, and the Hyderabad cutoff is around 293. The branches like B.Pharm in Goa decreased to 172, which reflects a decline in the demand for the program in later iterations.

BITSAT Cutoff Trends and Analysis: 2019-2024

The scores needed to get into BITS (called cut-offs) change every year for different reasons. Looking at last year's scores helps students understand what score they might need to get into their preferred BITS campus.

  • Because of the COVID-19 problems, the needed scores went down a lot for all campuses.
  • For example, in 2022, the score for Computer Science at BITS Pilani fell to 320, which was much lower than before.
  • However, the scores began rising again in 2023 and 2024. This happened because more students were competing for seats.

BITS Pilani Cut-off Trends (2019 - 2024)

Getting into BITS Pilani is the toughest compared to other BITS campuses. Students usually need higher marks there. In 2019, admission to the Computer Science (CSE) program at BITS Pilani required a cutoff score of 383 marks. But by 2022, this dropped to 320. The Electronics (ECE) and Electrical Engineering courses also needed slightly lower scores in 2022 than they did in 2019. The table below shows the minimum scores needed for Pilani last year.

BITS Goa Cut-off Trends (2019-2024)

BITS Goa is the second most popular campus in the BITS system, after BITS Pilani. Students aiming for Computer Science (CSE) and Electronics & Communication (ECE) often pick the Goa campus.

  • Getting into the CSE course at BITS Goa was tougher in 2019, needing a score of 352. However, by 2022, the score needed dropped to 295.
  • The scores needed for ECE and Electrical Engineering courses also went down over the same time.
  • Courses like Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering tend to have lower admission cutoffs compared to CSE or ECE.

BITS Hyderabad Cut-off Trends (2019-2024)

Getting into BITS Hyderabad usually needs lower entrance exam scores (cut-offs) than BITS Pilani or BITS Goa. Applicants with lower ranks have a higher probability of securing admission at the Hyderabad campus. In 2019, the highest cutoff rank for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) was 342, but by 2022, it had decreased to 280. ECE and Electrical Engineering also have lower cut-offs at Hyderabad compared to Pilani and Goa, though the difference isn't as big. Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical Engineering programs at BITS Goa generally have the lowest cutoff ranks compared to other courses.

BITSAT 2025 Good Score

A good score on the BITSAT exam depends entirely on which engineering branch and which BITS campus (Pilani, Goa, or Hyderabad) you want.

  • For prestigious programs such as Computer Science, Electronics, and Electrical at the Pilani and Goa campuses, a high cutoff score of approximately 330 or above is typically required.
  • For engineering programs like Mechanical, Civil, and Chemical at the Pilani and Goa campuses, a competitive score typically falls between 270 and 300.
  • For Popular Branches like Computer Science, Electronics, and Electrical, overall, you typically need a score of at least 260 to 270 to have a chance, though the exact campus matters a lot. Higher scores (like the 330+ above) are needed for the main Pilani campus.
