Between December 31, 2025 and January 7, 2026 the UGC NET December 2025 computer-based examination was held. To ensure a fair process, the NTA utilized extensive CCTV monitoring and jammers to prevent malpractice. The test covered 85 subjects across 283 cities, with over 9.9 lakh registered candidates and a significant 74% qualifying percentile. Following a transparent challenge period for the answer between January 14 to 17, the final results confirm that 5,108 candidates qualified for JRF, while over 1.7 lakh students qualified for Assistant Professor or Ph.D. entry.
You can access your qualifying status for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor positions exclusively through the official portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. To retrieve the result PDF, aspirants must log in using their application number, date of birth, and the provided captcha. Qualifying candidates will then be eligible to apply for academic and research roles in various colleges and universities across India.
UGC NET 2025: How to Check Your Result for the December Session?
To check your UGC NET December 2025 result, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Go to NTA UGC NET portal at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.
- Step 2: Look for the specific "UGC NET December 2025 Scorecard" link on the homepage.
- Step 3: Input your application number and date of birth (or password) in the login window.
- Step 4: Type in the security code exactly as it appears and click the Submit button.
- Step 5: Your detailed scorecard will be displayed; check your marks and qualifying status before downloading the PDF.
- Step 6: Ensure you take a physical printout of the scorecard for future academic appointments or JRF fellowship documentation.

Your official scorecard is the primary document for your academic and research career. Below is the breakdown of the information you will find on the PDF:

The NTA officially released the UGC NET December 2025 final answer keys and subject-wise cutoffs too. For the General category, JRF cut-offs range from 186 to 234, while Assistant Professor and PhD-only eligibility scores start at 164 and 146, respectively. To qualify for the merit list, General candidates must score at least 40% (120/300) and reserved categories require a minimum of 35% (105/300).

UP NEET PG 2025 counselling will be conducted in four rounds, allocating 85% state quota seats based on choices, NEET scores, and reservations. The remaining 15% All India Quota seats will be managed by MCC.
UP NEET PG 2025 counselling dates have been officially released on the state’s exam portal, upneet.gov.in. You can begin round 1 registration process from November 06, 2025. To participate in the seat allocation, you must register online and submit your preferred choices of colleges and courses. The deadline for application submission is October 10, 2025. If you have qualified NEET PG 2025 exam and meet the minimum cutoff criteria, you are eligible to take part in Uttar Pradesh NEET PG counselling process.

New Rules for JEE Main 2026 Exam Centre Selection
Candidates can select up to four exam cities based on preference.
New rule: Cities must be from your Permanent or Present Address state.
NTA will allot the nearest available centres based on Permanent Address.
